Announcing Art Exhibit: Sacred Light – Sacred Lands” A Journey Thru the Nat’l Parks By Paul J. McCloskey at EarthTones Aspire Gallery, 1319 Park Street in Downtown Paso Robles.

McCloskey presents enduring images of the landscape, wonders and unique landscapes that show why national parks and monuments have been placed in national trust.

Sacred Light-Sacred Lands is a ‘Painting with Light’ collections uniquely McCloskey’s artistic style. National Parks and monuments are depicted including Arcadia, Mesa Verde, The Carrizo Plain and many more. Paul’s unique approach (see artist statement) offers a creative technique called ‘Photo-Painting’ which is a combination of mixed media converging with digital photography and printmaking. His work is sold to individuals and has appeared in national and local publications.

A portion of proceeds from sales of exhibit and art cards will benefit El Camino Homeless Organization ECHO. “We agreed that the opportunity to contribute to this fundraising campaign is both timely and important,” said Mary Uebersax, ‘The Long Walk Home is an upcoming fundraiser for ECHO which serves dozens of families and individuals in the North County.’

The exhibit opens this Saturday July 7th and will run through August 2012. The Opening and artist reception this Saturday will be part of “First Saturday: Wine and The Arts” in Paso Robles and on route during the downtown stroll from 5-8:00p.m. At that time Paul McCloskey will be on hand to discuss techniques, these particular pieces and exchange with art enthusiasts.
